1. What is 'Big Data'? 

Big data is a term that is used to describe large amounts of structured and unstructured data involved in the daily on-goings of a business. The amount of data is irrelevant, instead it depends on how the data is used as Big Data can be used to identify changes and hints to allow for better business decisions to be made

For example, in class work plagiarism can result in the 'copier' being praised for work that the innocent student's work while that student gets in trouble. Big data can be used here to check and compare all the students work, useful as it ensures cheating isn't a possibility
